Our story

Bridge Church Newbury began in January 2015 when Mark and Beverley Landreth-Smith felt called to plant a new church, moving to Newbury from the Beacon Church Camberley.

Mark felt God was calling him to see what God was doing in Newbury and join in! Much of the vision and impetus of Bridge Church was born out of that vision – to see what God is doing and Join In. Shortly after moving to the area, Mark and Beverley were joined by others and Bridge Church was born.

In June 2026, Mark handed over leadership to Tom Newbold. Tom, and his wife Emilia, have been a part of Bridge Church for ten years and Tom became part of the staff as Assistant Pastor in 2023.

Tom is now the Lead Pastor of Bridge Church, alongside Mark, who remains present and involved in his role as Associate Pastor.
